For our first meeting of 2025 we are pleased to have long time friend to the NIAAS, Dr. Andy McCrea of North Down Telescopes along to give us his lecture titled ‘The Great 2024 Mexican Eclipse’. This lecture will take place on Monday 6th January at 8pm sharp. This will be held in our usual venue of Ballyclare High School Lecture Theatre.
About Andy: If you’ve been into astronomy for any length of time in Northern Ireland, I’m sure you will have come across Andy. Previous president of the IAA and owner of North Down Telescopes, Andy has been visiting us at the NIAAS and before when we were the EAAS, giving us talks and supplying members with all their astronomical equipment needs for over 20 years.
I’m sure you will join me in welcoming Andy to our society once again and we’re looking forward to kicking off the new year in style with his talk on the Great 2024 Eclipse in Mexico!
