This meeting was due to take place in January 2025, however a last minute snow storm caused us to cancel it. So we’re very pleased to have this now rearranged as out April meeting. Long time friend to the NIAAS, Dr. Andy McCrea of North Down Telescopes will be along to give us his lecture titled ‘The Great 2024 Mexican Eclipse’. This lecture will take place on Monday 7th April at 8pm sharp. This will be held in our usual venue of Ballyclare High School Lecture Theatre.
About Andy: If you’ve been into astronomy for any length of time in Northern Ireland, I’m sure you will have come across Andy. Previous president of the IAA and owner of North Down Telescopes, Andy has been visiting us at the NIAAS and before when we were the EAAS, giving us talks and supplying members with all their astronomical equipment needs for over 20 years.
I’m sure you will join me in welcoming Andy to our society once again and we’re looking forward to hearing his talk on the Great 2024 Eclipse in Mexico!
